Placing an order in our online shop is very easy
1. All Steps in the Ordering Process
You can add the desired item to your cart using the “Add to Cart” button on the product page.
Please note that some of our products are sold individually (per piece), others are offered as a sales unit (bundle), or have a defined minimum order quantity. Our colored borosilicate glass rods can only be ordered in 200-gram units. Since these are hand-pulled pieces with naturally varying wall thicknesses and weights, billing by the piece is not possible. Consequently, this material cannot be ordered in specific dimensions, and slight deviations between individual batches are to be expected.
Cart: In the cart, you’ll find a detailed overview of all selected products as well as the currently recorded quantity of items. Here you can adjust the number of products at any time—the shop automatically recalculates the total price. Attention: In the cart, you’ll initially see an Estimated Total. If you are not yet logged in, the estimated shipping costs are shown based on the location of our online shop. The final and binding shipping costs will be calculated and displayed after entering your complete delivery address during checkout.
Checkout: Click on “Proceed to Checkout” to finalize your order. Here, you enter your contact details to initiate the final calculation—this includes your email address, delivery address, and optionally the company name and a VAT ID. Based on this information, discounts, shipping costs, and the correct Value Added Tax (VAT) are determined. After entering all details, the binding total price will be displayed.
Always enter your VAT ID (USt-IdNr.) in the complete format, starting with the two-digit country code. Only in this way can the automatic verification for tax-exempt invoicing within the EU abroad be carried out. Example: Use the format DE123456789 for Germany, NL123456789B01 for the Netherlands, and SE123456789001 for Sweden, etc. A list of the valid formats of the EU member states can be found on the European Commission website.
Shipping Section: In the next section, select the desired shipping method. Shipping options with or without transport insurance are available. If required, you can enter a different billing address and add a note to your order.
Payment Methods: This section shows you our available payment options. You can choose between PayPal (also with credit card) and prepayment by bank transfer. Purchase on account is only available for customers with a German delivery address. If required, you can enter a different billing address and add a note to your order.
Review: In the next section, you will see an overview of your order as well as information on our general terms and conditions and cancellation policy. Please check all details carefully. Click on “Buy now” to place a binding order.
After completing the order process, you will automatically receive an order confirmation by email containing all the relevant information about your order.
2. Information About Our Online Store Prices
The prices shown are exclusive of VAT. VAT is indicated in brackets and listed separately in the shopping cart. The displayed prices are based on the shop’s location until the shipping address is entered.
3. Accepted Payment Methods
Before the binding conclusion of your order, you will automatically be offered a choice of possible payment methods. Any costs incurred for the selected payment method, in particular in the event of a cancellation/refund, shall be borne by the customer.
Prepayment: Transfer directly to our bank account. We will ship your order as soon as the full invoice amount has been credited to our account. You will receive the details for a bank transfer following your order. Please use the order number as the reason for payment.
PayPal/Credit Card: Pay easily and securely with your credit card via PayPal.
Purchase on Account (Invoice): This payment method is only available for customers with a German shipping address. After placing your order, you will receive an invoice via email. Please transfer the total amount within 30 days.
