The stick is a funky avocado green that can turn into a rich - dark - transparent purple in the areas where the haze has burned off by heating to white hot. When the piece is finished - let it cool - until the orange glow is gone - and then paint it to purple - by reintroducing it to the outermost part of the flame. Areas - where the haze remains - will appear as a fairly cloudy blue.
