A rich, opaque color. It is not sensitive to flames. However, must be worked in a gentle flame to prevent surface scarring and cooking. Once worked, the color can be heated faster and absorbs a greater amount of heat. The key is to work the paint slowly until it has melted into a smooth color. The grainy texture is ideal for shading in sculptural applications and in extremely thin blown work. It is also an ideal background color.
